The Temple Emanuel COVID-19 Recovery Task Force consults with immunologist Dr. Steve Mizel and other medical professionals to develop our safety measures in response to COVID-19. Please note the following: Starting January 7, 2022, we will require a one-time proof of full vaccination (this includes the booster)—either your CDC vaccination card or a photo of the card—or a negative rapid test taken on the day of the event. We have reinstated mask-wearing at all temple events, inside the Education Building and administrative offices, and at all outdoor events when children are present. At Services, we welcome an unlimited number of fully-vaccinated Temple Emanuel members and visitors, but please be aware that physical distancing is required indoors. Pre-registration for Services is no longer required. You will still be able to join us virtually on LiveStream.
Questions, please contact our office at 336-722-6640 or by email.
Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is a 100-year-old, international organization of 330,000 members. Winston-Salem Hadassah is a 100+ member chapter which was chartered in the 1940s. Most are Life Members, and several men are Associates.
Our programs span learning, community service, and fun for women of all ages and all stages. Each year we plan Hanukkah, Tu BiShvat (Birthday for the Trees) and Yom HaAtzmaut (Israeli Independence Day) celebrations. Members purchase and wrap preemie gifts for Ronald McDonald House families when we gather & celebrate Hanukkah. On local and national levels, members and associates raise funds to support our two hills of healing in Jerusalem — the Hadassah Hospitals at Ein Kerem and Mt. Scopus. Current (2021) fund-raising supports the 360 Round Building Capital Campaign.
Winston-Salem Hadassah and Greensboro Hadassah are currently in the process of merging, so please be patient with us as we work on restructuring. Send general emails to WSHadassah@gmail.com. Hadassah has occasional articles in Temple Emanuel’s Staying Connected, so look for upcoming meetings and celebrations. Read more about the national organization at the Hadassah website, where you can find current information on news stories, medical and research advances, and other areas of Hadassah’s
